Why Initial Training?
Most insurance underwriters require a minimum experience level for pilots moving to faster, heavier, or more technologically advanced or complex aircraft. Gateway will work with a pilot and tailor training to meet insurance requirements and provide the pilot the flight skills necessary for his or her new aircraft.
Many times, a few hours in the simulator will provide the pilot with the comfort level to complete the actual flight portion of training. In other instances, ground training in aerodynamic characteristics of a particular make or model of aircraft provides the pilot with added flight awareness.
Proficiency is the goal with all training at Gateway. From single engine to turbojet, thorough initial training sets the pilot or crew on a path of safety in flight.
